We came to AmplifyME with the goal of enhancing our Capital Markets Women’s Advisory Program, and the results have been truly remarkable.


Our goal was to elevate our upskilling sessions, ensuring that the trainees were well-prepared for the demands of internships and full-time roles in the industry. AmplifyME’s approach was exactly what we needed.

Through the immersive simulations, participants step into the shoes of various industry roles, from Junior IB Analysts to Traders to ESG Investment Managers. These scenarios provide an unparalleled understanding of the industry's intricacies, strategies, and challenges. The trainees emerge with sharpened skills, heightened confidence, and a comprehensive perspective that empowers them to engage meaningfully with industry professionals, whether in informational calls, coffee chats, or interviews.

Case study: RBC Capital Markets Women’s Advisory Programme

RBC's Capital Markets Women’s Advisory Programme targets exceptional first-year university students interested in Capital Markets and provides multi-month professional development opportunities, mentorship, and networking.

The goal is to promote diversity and inclusion while giving women undergraduates early access to summer internship interviews , no matter their background.

The Challenge

The Early Careers Team at RBC sought a partner that could upskill participants in three global locations over short timeframes spanning from just a few days to eight weeks.

The goal was to supercharge their knowledge and ability within specific roles, build confidence, and prepare them for the demands of roles in the industry.

They also needed to capture each candidate's unique strengths and weaknesses for accurate role allocation to boost retention and performance.

AmplifyME’s solution 

  • Co-created a customised programme of practical, immersive simulation-based, markets-focussed experiences, delivered in person and virtually, at varying levels of difficulty, allowing participants to step into the shoes of Junior Investment Banking Analysts, Traders, and ESG Investment Managers.
  • Across eight weeks we intentionally set the difficulty levels to increase gradually throughout, culminating in the most challenging simulations.
  • Each simulation provided performance data for each candidate, highlighting strengths and weaknesses.
  • The programme concludes with a wrap-up meeting to share performance profiles, as well as observations and feedback from the training team on each candidate.

Results

Participants transormed in terms of knowledge, skills and ability with 90%+ of programme participants in Canada, the US, and the UK advanced to final round interviews for RBC Capital Markets’ global summer internship programme, with a high majority earning offers.
